outlet all of my Hoops are Sprayed with a Clear Enamel Protective Finish the Spray does NOT affect the tape or make it slip in any way. My Hoop is welded out of one continuous rolled piece of steel. Other sellers tape their hoops which can hide flaws and extra splices. Putting tape over bare metal is a terrible idea because the sweat from your hands, as well as the air around you, will rust the steel under the tape. The tape will not protect it. It needs to be painted entirely before taping.
