Men's Black Leather Brogues or Wingtips in Size 8.
• Very good if not excellent condition, with old-style nearly new skinny cord shoelaces. Inside bears imprint saying:
• Unmistakably Johnson & Murphy, Made in U.S.A. PRESIDENT'S COLLECTION.
• Does not include shoe-trees pictured, but they were stored for these past several years with the shoe-trees in them, so they are in very good "shape."

These were my father's shoes. He was kind of a square, meaning he was conservative and traditional but didn't have a lot of snootiness about him, even though he tried. He basically didn't care for snooty people. The result was that he didn't have a clue about status symbols when it came to clothing or dressing. He just bought good stuff that he liked and that he thought was of superior quality.

• The only wear shown is on the soles and toward back of heel, otherwise leather is in pristine condition. What a pair of shoes to wear down that aisle! -- you know the one I mean.
• The inside marking says 8 D/B, then 62/40, and underneath that a bunch of numbers that mean nothing to me. A tape measure inside the shoe from toe to heel says they are 11" long inside.
