Le Petit outlet Marin (The Little Sailor) Needlepoint Shoulder Bag Tote, Large Exterior Pocket, Ralph Lauren fabric, Genuine Leather Straps & Trim

This shoulder tote features a vintage needlepoint canvas titled “Le Petit Marin” (The Little Sailor). Although the canvas is vintage, the needlepoint was just made. It was done in wool, and is one of just a handful of the needlepoint purses I've made with a needlepoint I did myself.

For the front of this purse I chose a Ralph Lauren fabric - Hampton Beach Jute, in the color indigo. It is 60% cotton, 40% jute. The bottom and back are a durable, upholstery weight fabric in dark brown

Like most outlet of my bags, this one has a large, exterior, rear pocket so you can carry a small iPad, kindle, or other electronic devices. This pocket is 10” wide by 8” deep and lined with a soft faux suede.

Interior fabric is a blue and cream, cotton blend in the style of ticking.
There are 2 interior slip pockets, each approximately 5”x7” so you can keep your cell phone, keys, and glasses handy.

Purse closes with a brass tone magnetic snap.
This bag is structured with 2 interlinings, a padded plastic mesh bottom, and boning around the top.

The (2) red straps are 7/8” wide and fashioned from a genuine leather belt.
Another red leather belt was used to create the rivet studded, front trim.
Red tassels complete the look.
