Vintage Yeoman Silver Plate outlet Cased 7 Piece Set of 1 Large Serving & 6 Shell Fruit Dessert Spoons with Decorative Handles – Sheffield England

A vintage fabulous cased 7 piece set of Yeoman Silver Plated Fruit or Dessert Shell spoons made in Sheffield England. The set contains one large shell shaped serving spoon and 6 smaller spoons with fabulous decorative handles. The spoons are all marked with with “Yeoman Plate EPNS, Made in England”. In pristine condition.

The Shell spoon 7 piece set comes in the original lovely black faux leather covered case with two decorative brass catches. The interior is lined with creamy white satin with black velvet covered slots for to hold the spoons safe. The lid as a velvet covered slot with catch to hold the large serving fruit spoon. The silver spoons have the feeling of excellent quality.

The Yeoman Plate Shell Shaped Silver Fruit or Dessert spoons are in excellent vintage condition with no obvious scratches or dents. There is very light tarnishing, but they will polish up nicely. Seem to have hardly been used although the cased set is a pre loved item. The vintage case is in excellent vintage condition with very minor signs of age. Please view photos.

The large serving silver EPNS shell spoon is 22.5 cm (8 3/4 in) long and 6.75 cm (2 3/4 in) at the widest part of the spoon. The smaller spoons are each is 14 cm (5 5/8 in) long and 4 cm (1 5/8 in) at the widest part of the spoon. The boxed set weighs 565 g (1 lb 3.8 oz).

The silver plated EPNS flatware dates to the 1940s. In those days, anyone with high standards – outlet and money – only used handmade cutlery for their household use.
