359 Wood Fired Ceramic Clay Buddha Rabbit Hare
359 Wood Fired Ceramic Clay Buddha Rabbit Hare is an original piece that has a outlet deep range of browns and, in the light, flecks of green. Made of stoneware. The rabbit belly was thrown on the wheel as a sphere and altered by hand to pull out the physiological features. The rabbit head, arms/hands, and legs are hand sculpted. Approximate Dimensions: 11 (H) x 7 (W) x 6 (D). The Buddha rabbit was high-fired in an anagama kiln, fired to about 2100 degrees, by throwing in wood in the front of the kiln over about 48 hours. The kiln builds up lots of ash, and the heat melts the glazes. The Buddha rabbit's facial features are more subtle to allow a more pensive attitude. Would make great centerpiece or a piece on a pedestal for show. Beautiful matte surface which feels lovely in the hands.
