This Sony WM-FX822 is an auto-reverse radio cassette Walkman from the 1990s. It features AMS: automatic silence detection, which allows the unit to skip tracks backwards and forwards on the tape when the FF or RW function is toggled while in Play mode. It also features DBB (dynamic bass boost) and Dolby B noise reduction. All of these functions can be accessed from the front of the unit, and the LCD screen displays the status of the unit. The unit features FM/AM Radio, and I have gotten great reception in Seattle. The mechanism has been cleaned and the drive belt replaced with a new one. Pinch rollers have been replaced as well. The unit is powered by a single gumstick battery. I will be including one. Any universal battery charger that supports Ni-MH d cell length batteries outlet will fit a gumstick battery.
