Star Wars fans rejoice!
This is a completely unique and beautiful way to show off the inspiring design of the Millennium Falcon, the most famous Corellian YT-1300f light transport ship in the Star Wars universe. This is an amazing 3D laser cut illustration of the Falcon with an incredible amount outlet of detail. It is created from six layers, made up of 33 individual pieces of 1/16" basswood. Each layer representing a different "cross section" of the ship. Laid on top of each other and glued in place the layers combine to create a unique art piece that is flat and yet also has dimensionality to it.
This piece is 100% original, hand drawn in Adobe Illustrator from many reference photos and videos. Every line of every detail was precisely placed and given different laser etch weights to create this beautiful piece of artwork. The details on this ship are truly astounding. The linework is beautiful and every effort has been taken to be as true to the source material as possible. We have even worked out the construction so that upper hull has a bit of a slope towards the center up the ship. The creation of this piece was a true labor of love.
PRESENTATION:
You will receive a ready-to-display piece of artwork. The six laser cut layers will be glued and mounted to a piece of 1/8" Baltic birch plywood etched with a unique space scene. The plywood is mounted on an engraved maple stand.
