A beautiful, timeworn, antique French brass fire screen for repair or projects. This delightful screen was found at auction in Bordeaux and dates to the 19th century. It requires replacement mesh. The brass surround bears the maker's mark (photo 5) and the decoration is in embossed, repoussé style.

In ultimate shabby chic condition, looking very old and full of French history, as found at auction in Bordeaux. The screen requires replacement mesh. The brass edges will need to be lifted to replace the mesh and then firmly closed. This is a great project and a wonderful opportunity to bring this elegant screen back to life.
Requiring further cleaning. It has traces of wax polish on the metalwork and some verdi-gris and marks.
The screen will be sent folded as seen in the final photo.
