Kingfisher on Lotus Pod outlet

This painting was inspired by a series of photographs outlet I saw of one of my favorite birds, kingfishers, as they flitted over a field of lotus flowers, occasionally stopping to perch on the lotus pods. There are more than 100 different species of kingfisher, and most live in tropical or subtropical areas. Here in Florida, I see them perched on low branches or wires above drainage ditches or other shallow water.

The painting is gallery wrapped and wired on the back, ready for hanging. No frame necessary.
