Pretty and useful messenger bag, patch pieced in gorgeous soft neutral colors, sturdy construction, long handle, with a big inside pocket that will fit a tablet, journal or book, and also an inside key clip. I had all of these small strips of upholstery fabric and corduroy from making other bags around in my studio. They all looked great together with their shades of outlet brown, pink, green and tan, so I made a big rectangle of patchwork from them...which then became the front flap and back panel of the bag. Soft brown corduroy make the rest of the structure. The bag is lined with matching batik in deep maroon-purple and brown, with another panel of pieced work making the inside pocket.
This is my own pattern, each of my bags is a unique adventure...which keeps it interesting for both of us.
