The combination of a smooth glassy cabochon and marble-like paint brush jasper gives the piece a familiar old-world quality. A thin frame of cordovan beading surrounds the center stone, providing a mild accent. Gleaming hematine beads finish the edge and make for an understated finish. The braided black leather cord continues the black theme with traditional ball-end ribbed tips providing the perfect balance. The black onyx cabochon including beaded edge measures approximately 1-3/4" x 2". The base is formed from 4mm paint brush jasper heishi beads. The jasper is shades of predominantly gray with a spray of miniscule black dots. The bezel is sewn from small variegated opaque cordovan colored seed beads. The final edge is finished with a row of 3mm rondelle shaped hematine beads.
