Vintage signed Los Castillo Taxco Mexico 925 Sterling Silver & Mixed Metals Inlay Turquoise Lapis Modernist Flower Form Pin Brooch. The beautiful pin is constructed from Onyx, sterling silver, combined with copper and brass and inlaid turquoise and lapis to create the details within the flower form.

The back of the pin is marked Los Castillo, Hecho Mexico, ONIX Negro, Eagle Mark 3, along with the item number 0 13 P. The pin measures 1 7/8" high by 1 7/8" wide. The pin is in excellent vintage condition. Shows no issues or damage. Clasp is in fine working order. Wonderful Old Los Castillo Piece!

The pin features a modernist floral form made with different metals: brass, silver and copper in addition to Onyx negra (stone). The metals are fitted in such a way that they seem to be all part of one surface. This technique is known as "metales casados" outlet or married metals. This form of metalsmithing was developed by Chato Castillo one of the well known Castillo brothers from Taxco Mexico.
